Samsung Galaxy S to Have Android 2.2 Soon

Samsung announced that their leading smartphone Galaxy S would get the Android 2.2(Froyo) Update in the mid of October. This will make the device much more efficient and useful.

The Android 2.2 upgrade will be available via Kies, Samsung’s unique in-house software upgrade program.

The GALAXY S is Samsung’s cleverly designed smartphone with a bright 4-inch SUPER AMOLED screen and a 1 GHz application processor, giving users an intelligent, immersive and integrated mobile experience. The Android 2.2 upgrade offers voice-controlled GPS through Google MapsTM with Navigation, faster performance by JIT(Just in Time) compiler. Additionally, further functionalities including Search in-browser, Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1, improved customization options will be provided with OS upgrade.

- Google MapsTM with Navigation: GPS navigation system with voice guidance

- Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1: Allow the web browser to make full use of the whole web

- Setup Wizard: Quickly customize the GALAXY S and access networks with ease

- Home Screen/Menu Preview and Edit : Preview by pinch-zoom

- Search in-Browser : Google™, Translate, Wikipedia, Dictionary

The Android 2.2 upgrade will be available from the mid of October 2010 in the Nordic region and gradually rolled out to other European markets, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, North America, Africa and rest of the world.

Skype 5.0 Released – Now with Facebook Integration

Skype fans, you are all really lucky. Earlier this month, Skype for Android was released. Now, It is a new version of the desktop Skype which is released. Skype 5.0 is out of beta and is available for download now. This one boasts a lot of new features.

The best among all is the integration with facebook. With facebook integration, you can :

  • see your Facebook News Feed in Skype
  • post status updates that can be synced with your Skype mood message
  • comment and like friends’ updates and wall posts
  • call and SMS your Facebook friends on their mobile phones and landlines
  • make a free Skype-to-Skype call if your Facebook friend is also a Skype contact
  • This new version of Skype is for Windows and a newer Mac version is coming soon. Skype has 560 Million registered users and with this integration with facebook, it is jumping leaps and bounds. Many new features like group video calling are added to this new version. Try them out yourself.

    Finally a Dislike Function in Facebook

    Facebook is the largest social network on the planet and it’s like feature has created huge waves among netizens. Many people requested for a dislike function too. If such a function is provided, people could easily show their dislikes to a status or comment or a photo or a product.

    Facebook has introduced a new Comments system, which allows the user to rate a comment either positive or negative. The whole Comments system has been reorganized and is not available everywhere. It is accessible only on a few pages. we have to wait till it is made public, to use it everywhere.

    Features of the New Comment System.

    1. New System: Comments are threaded, you can reply to the status or even to comments below the status.

    2. Post To profile: When you comment on a topic, you can inform your friends by posting it on your profile.

    3. More information: It display your network/location next to our name along with no of votes for your comment.

    4. Voting system: you can either like a comment by voting it up or dislike a comment by voting it down.

    5.Percentage: The no of comments in your thread and the percentage of likeness of yourr comment will be displayed when you hover over it.

    Facebook helps us to connect with our friends. We even get many new friends is Facebook.  Facebook facilitates us to stay in touch with our friends, relatives and workmates.     2. Go to the Security Information Page.

    There are lots of lawsuits in the mobile Industry. Each company accusing other in terms of patent infringement or just because they are business enemies. Each Company tries to be the supremo in the mobile industry. When they can’t beat their opponents in genuine ways, they accuse them.
