iPhone 5 Coming With a 4.6″ Inch Retina Display?

Posted March 23, 2012 By Arun Sathiya

According to the reports, it seems like Apple is now all set to bring an iPhone that we have been waiting for ages. With the other smartphone giants growing insanely larger day by day, Apple doesn’t seem like staying behind in the niche. While it’s arch rival Samsung is bringing quite stunning smartphones, Apple is here to throw Samsung out of the way. As you read in the title, Apple might be bringing an iPhone 5 that has a 4.6 inches display and comes with retina display.

[googleads]

The information comes from an unnamed source, which confirms has placed orders with Samsung Electronics Co. for the supply of display. As known to all the geeks out there, LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics Co. are the two biggest display suppliers for Apple.

“Apple Inc.’s new iPhone will have a sharper and bigger 4.6 inch “retina” display and is set to be launched around the second quarter.” reported Reuters on Wednesday.

As lots of buzzes fill the iPhone 5 rumor mill, here is the new addition. If the reports are true, Apple will make a revolution in the smartphones history in just a matter of time. The last iPhone released by Apple, iPhone 4S, proved to be a good fun but no up to the fans’ expectations. The fans expected Apple to unveil an iPhone 5 but to their disappointed Apple came only with iPhone 4S. That’s just an iPhone 4, added with Siri and a few more features.

On March 7 of this year, Apple unveiled the next generation iPad called the “new iPad“. If you remember well, it came with retina display “on”, proving to be the best tablet until now. With the retina display on, browsing the photos becomes lot more interesting than ever. The best clarity is what everyone love, right?

Finally, iPhone 5 is also rumored to be sporting a million color pixels. A stunning one, right? Does that mean that it would be the best smartphone until date? All is that we gotta wait and see what Apple has in store this time. Do stay tuned with Axleration for more.

How To: Use FaceTime

Posted March 5, 2012 By JesseMLangley

Apple’s FaceTime® lets you make and receive video calls with other Mac, iPhone, iPod and iPad users. Businesses like Salesforce are even using FaceTime technology to facilitate video support. Getting started on a mobile device is as easy as a few taps, but Mac setup can be a little trickier. Check out this video for step-by-step FaceTime setup directions and usage tips or follow the steps below:

[adsense]

1.Confirm your system is running the following:

Mac OS X version 10.6.6 or above
• Apple ID or email address
• Stable wi-fi connection

2. If you haven’t downloaded FaceTime on your Mac, head over to the Mac App-store and download it for about a buck.

3. Once installed, launch it from the dock or from your apps folder.

4.Enter your Apple ID and password then Sign In. Or, if you don’t want to use your current Apple ID or don’t have one, enter an email address and password then click Create Account. Note: If you created a new account or are adding additional email addresses, you’ll receive a verification email to confirm the email address before getting started.

You’re done! Here are a few tips for using FaceTime:

Connection quality: To use FaceTime with Mac, you’ll need good wi-fi access on both ends to ensure best quality.

Caller ID: Go to Preferences to set what callers see as your “caller id.” You can disable caller id here, but your email address will still show when you make a call.

Environmental adjustments: Avoid bright lights or sunny windows at your back and make sure that you have enough light to be seen clearly. With the PIP viewer, you can see exactly what the caller sees and make adjustments as needed. Click and drag your PIP display anywhere on the screen you’d like.

Making calls: Making a call using FaceTime is as easy as clicking on a contact. FaceTime runs in the background on your Apple devices. A call to your email address sends simultaneous notification to all logged in devices.

Contacts management: Your contacts, favorites, and groups from Address Book are automatically available in FaceTime. You can even add, edit, and delete contacts right in FaceTime, however, if you delete in FaceTime, it’s gone from the Address Book too.
When a call comes in, you can answer or decline.

View toggling: Similar to FaceTime on other Apple devices, the Mac version offers landscape or portrait viewing. To toggle views, use the onscreen button or CMD + R.
For full screen, use the onscreen button or CMD + up arrow + F.

Now you’re up and running with FaceTime. Smile into the camera and start calling.

8″ Inch iPad – Is Apple Working on This?

Posted February 17, 2012 By Arun Sathiya

As per the latest reports, Apple is seen to be working on a smaller iPad, sized at 8 inch. There has been a lot of speculation rounding the Cupertino based tech giant and according to the latest reports, iPad 3 is set to be much more smaller than the present iPad 2, sized at 9.7 inch. With iPad 2 proving to be a lose in the share market, it’s those small sized tablets that have caught the attention of the people in this tech world.

[googleads]

While Kindle Fire from Amazon and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab sport a small 7″ inch sized screen, it’s a smaller screen that Apple is in need of now. Apple now wants to make a comeback soon as the tablet giant and that’s the thing that paves a path for Apple to come with a brand new 8″ inch sized screen.

As the sources quote, a few unnamed Apple officials have shown a few prototypes of 8″ inch sized iPad 3 to The Wall Street Journal officials and also tipped off that the screen resolution would remain the same as in iPad 2. Also, the test panels are being supplied to Apple by Taiwan based AU Optronics Co. and South Korea’s LG Display Co.

If Apple’s upcoming iPad continues to sport a larger screen and comes with a big price, it’s not what the people really want. When there are lots of cheaper tablets with a smaller screen available out there, why go for Apple’s expensive iPad?

Previously it was noted that, there were many rumors circulating round this web that, a 7″ inch iPad was about to come. Recently, Apple has denied that. With Steve Jobs’ saying, a 7″ inch iPad to really too small the express the software, a 8″ inch sized iPad would prove to be the better option. Steve Jobs’ also quoted that 9.7″ was the best size for the iPad applications to run.

All these rumors or confusions would come to an end when Apple officially announces. Rounding up the information, it seems like March would be the month when any official news about iPad 3 comes. Let us wait until then. Are you as eager as me?

[googleads]

As of now, Apple is gearing for the production of this new iPhone 5. This iPhone 5 is in the production stage and there have been lots of models, waiting to get one finalized. In spite of Apple’s efforts to keep the model devices safe, many of the models have already been spreading through hands. Once Apple comes with one confirmed model, it will start it’s production and in a matter of time, the Apple fans get a chance to lay their pretty hands on the cool looking stylish iPhone 5.

Apple has taken utmost efforts to make iPhone 5′s design unique and it is confirmed that this new mobile looks neither like iPhone 4 or the latest released, iPhone 4S.

Earlier, Apple launched the iPhone 4S, previously called the iPhone 5 by the fans. But to the fans’ disappointment Apple came up only with iPhone 4S. But as of now, iPhone 5 is confirmed.

What’s your thought guys? Will this iPhone 5, so called, feature a big, wider, 4″ inch screen and come in the summer of the year 2012 as reports say? Do drop in your comments.

Why is the iPhone such a popular device? Yes, it has all the functional attributes that one expects from a sophisticated device and it offers a number of fun and engaging features to the user. But does its popularity stem from these reasons alone even though most people look for these characteristics from their mobile devices. No it doesn’t. One of the primary reasons and significant contributors to the popularity of iPhone is the kind of apps available for this device.

[adsense]

There are plenty of iPhone apps, both free and paid, that are up for grabs on the iTunes store. You can pick the ones that suit your needs and requirements best. But, there are some iPhone apps that just cannot be ignored. Here’s a peek into two of them

[stextbox id="info"]‘Find My Friends’[/stextbox]

No prizes for guessing what this app does. It helps you locate your friends and family with your iPhone device, through your Apple iCloud ID. All you need to is download the app, install it, sign in with the same Apple ID that you use for your iCloud account and add your friend. Once your friends accept your request to see their location, you will be able to see the location of your friend on a map or a list.  You can even share locations for a limited period of time. It’s a great way of keeping track of your family and friends especially when you are at an event, concert, or travelling with a group. It’s a useful little app that helps share your information with the people who are the closest to you.

With extremely convenient functionality and simple privacy controls, this is a must have app that earns full marks for its usefulness.

[stextbox id="info"]‘Find my iPhone’[/stextbox]

Again no prizes for guessing, what this iPhone app does; if there is one fear that keeps iPhone users up at night, it is what will they do if their devices goes missing. The ‘Find my iPhone’ app provides the definitive solution. Now iPhone users can sleep in peace because even if they misplace their device, they will be able to find it easily.

It’s the iCloud magic at work all over again. If your iPhone is missing, just sign into your iCloud account or use ‘Find My iPhone app’ on another device to find your missing device. All a user needs to do is install this free iPhone app, and sign in with his/her Apple ID. If the device gets misplaced, it locates the device on a map, and once located the user can choose to play a sound to get somebody’s attention or display a message, so if somebody sees your iPhone they know who it belongs to and they can give it back.

What is even more important is that if your iPhone gets stolen and you don’t want the sensitive data on the iPhone to fall into the wrong hands, you can remotely erase this data. There is also a chance that the device might be offline when you are searching for it, so you are unable to pinpoint its location. But you can ensure that you get an email, as soon as it is connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G network.

These two apps are amazing not because they are interactive and engaging, but because they are problem solvers. The fact that they are amazing stems from this fact alone and nothing else.
