Are you wondering about the things that could help you save your Mac from destruction and keep it forever? Well, it is a hard task but you could actually keep your Mac longer if you just observe proper measure to save it from obliteration.

There is no over heating however if you are going to cork a display externally, let the lip of your computer open. Actually, Macs are designed not to be turned off. Unless you are travelling, having a long trip or you are going to put your computer in to storage, you must turn it on. But you also have the option to put it to sleep.

Keep in mind that air with low humidity is not very competent in transporting heat therefore you must keep an eye on the relative humidity. Actually, you could try to keep it at 45% or even higher. You might also wish to search out a silent fan to soothingly blow air on your Mac. The cooler the mainframe, the better off the solid state components would be.

You have the option to install any suitable and reliable program that could monitor the internal temperature of your computer. This will permit you to keep an eye on the comfort level of your Mac. The key for a lasting chip is a cool one.

One of the most important reasons that your Macbook, for the most part notebooks, are finished of aluminium is because its body performs as a passive heat sink, thus the computer is premeditated to be warm. If you would want to acquire more control above the ventilation and thermal load, you could get Smcfancontrol for your computer.

Update it regularly. Update all software and applications because your computer can work faster in a new system rather than an obsolete one. Updating your software can also help you detect if there is something wrong with your computer.

Keep away drinks from it or food for that matter. Your Mac is not water resistant. If you are drinking keep it away from your computer to prevent physical damage especially if the liquid leaked into the internal parts of the computer. Also clean your Mac if there are pieces of foods left especially from crackers. These could attract insects that might ruin your keypad.

Don’t download things that you are not sure of downloading. You must be careful since you need to keep an available space for you compute to function well.

Don’t drop it. Simple rule! Your Mac can actually be broken into pieces if you are not careful while using or bringing it somewhere.

Mac Os wants to have more space available that is why don’t just put anything in it. It also works fast if there is more RAM (preferably for normal uses 4GB and 8GB if you are doing pro-level stuff). It could help you extend the life of your hardware.

In this tutorial we are going to teach you how to install device drivers in Windows and in Linux. Since Windows is obviously the most popular operating system we will be discussing it first. We will be using Windows XP specifically for this example, but it will be very similar in all versions of Windows.

Before you being the driver installation you’ll first want to make sure you have the right drivers. Even if you have a driver that is for a piece of hardware that is similar to yours, it still may not work correctly. If you do not have the drivers yet you can get them online by doing a simple search. Also, sometimes it may not be in your best interest to change the drivers, especially if you are considering changing to a BETA version. If your drivers came with the device on a CD or Floppy Disk then all you need to do is pop it in and then follow instructions. Most drivers are .exe files, so make sure you’ve scanned your drivers for viruses if you got them online. All that is left to do then is to double-click the file name and follow the simple instructions in the install wizard. Usually the Install Wizard will notify you when the driver is done being installed, and all that is left to do is click Finish. Sometimes a reboot may be required for the changes to take place, if this is the case then the install wizard will let you know.

Sometimes you may have to install a driver that does not include an Install Wizard, so you may have to install it manually. To do this, first you will have to find the “Device Manager”. If you don’t know where this is then clicks on the Start Menu, and then select Control Panel, then click Performance and Maintenance and then click on System. Then you’ll see a new window open up that has multiple tabs. Next click on the tab called Hardware and that will pull up the device manager. From there all you have to do is basically follow instructions. Simply click the tab that says driver. Select no thanks when prompted for the option for Windows to search for drivers automatically (since you already have the driver files). Now select no thanks, and then next. After you’ve chosen the don’t search option you simply click to the right where it says “have disc”. Now find the driver files (usually ending in extension .inf) and double-click the file. Now wait for the installation to finish, making sure not to interrupt. You may have seen the option in the device manager window that says “return to the previous driver”. If you encounter problems with the new driver you can revert to the old one using that option. Congratulations you have installed a device driver in Windows!

Now for Linux

Click System located at the top of Linux. Click the administration tab that appears in the drop-down menu. Next select Synaptic Package Manager. This will bring up an interface that is much like add/remove programs in Windows. Now enter the name of the driver you want install into the search bar in the Synaptic Package Manager. When the search results are finished, click on the box that’s next to the name of the driver you want to install. Then click OK. Congratulations you’re finished! You don’t even need to restart!

Jim is free lancer content writer and he writes for many sites on simple topics like how to installed device drivers, how enable registry editing, how change proxy etc. for non-technical persons in easy and simple way.

Being a blogger I visit hundreds of blog, some catches my attention and to some I pass on. But after my research I have noticed one thing that some blogs do have about us page and many just don’t even bother to add it. Not only has this, the ones who had added the page not pitched it correctly. So one conclusion I came to is that, we all need to work on our About Pages.

What is an About Page and Its Importance?

About US page whether it is of a website or a blog tells about the owner of the blog. Let the reader know what all about your blog is and how they can contact you. Someone visiting your blog first time is most likely to visit your about us page, to know about the one who owns the blog. Just to get a feel for whom you are actually.

About us page is an important page of a blog which bloggers can’t ignore to have on their blogs. It’s like your online resume. Like through this page you are greeting the readers or anyone who visit your blog. It can really help you in impressing the marketers, visitors coming to your blog. So every blogger should put in some time and effort in pitching their about us page.

[adsense]

Basic About Us Page Inclusions

Your Image: Adding a picture of yours on about us page helps the readers to connect to what they are reading with more personal touch.

Small Overview of What Your Blog is all about: Write a short paragraph explaining what your blog is about, what issues it deals with. Here you can let your readers know why your blog is different from others in the niche. You can chalk down the points which make you special and different from others.

Contact information – How your readers can connect to you: Many visitors of your blog would want to contact you. Prominently display your email address on your blog’s sidebar, contact us page and also and in your About Us page. Publishing your correct contact information is important as there are many marketers who will use it to contact you.

Share Some Interesting Information: Its wholly depends upon the blogger that what amount of personal information he wants to share with his readers. But whatever you write, pen down it in interesting manner. It should arouse some interest in the reader.

Stare Your Goal: It can be your life goal or the motive behind building the blog. Or just your introduction to connect to more and more people.

Strict No’s for Your about Us Page

After knowing what should be added on your about Us page, let’s see what all needs to be avoided. Your About Us page should be short and pleasant to read. Avoid including:

Your Biography: As a reader, one will be only interested in knowing what you’re doing now. Unless your blog is directly or indirectly related to your childhood, no need to include it.

Your To do List: As I have already mentioned that about us pages are like virtual digital “Hello” in that you do not need to mention all hundred thing you have planned to do in your life.

Don’t talk About here and there. Keep your information short and simple.

Customize Your About Us Page

Your blogs About page can be used for many other purposes. Therefore, it needs to be taken seriously. Here are few ideas to customize it as per your needs.

Helps To Establish You As an authority in Your Niche. If you have links to online videos of yours, published interview in the online version of some newspaper. Mention the links of the online published articles written by you. Testimonials you have received for your remarkable for done.

Express Your wish of doing some particular professional work: Include information about your past work experience and why someone or a company would want to hire you. Tell them about the specify qualities of you and your work which sets you apart from others in your niche.

Find Sponsors for an Event: Include information about exactly what you are looking for and what you will give in return to the company.

So if you have not thought of your about us page earlier, go back and re-work on it and do share in comments what difference it made to your blog popularity.

Facebook silently introduced a new feature some time ago, that will let you change admin roles in Facebook Pages. Previously, when you add extra admins to your page, all of them would have complete control over the page. There were many cases in which the person added second, removed the first person and claimed owenership of the page. This new addition will preent all those and will help in effectively managing your facebook pages.

With the availability of different admin roles, you can add your whole team to your Facebook page and each and everyone one of them can contribute to it.

There are 5 different roles availables. They are Manager, Content creator, Moderator, Advertiser and Insights Analyst. The names are self-explanatory. Manager is the ultimate role, who can do almost anything with the page. Content creator is next to Manager in power, he can’t change the admin roles but he can do other stuff. Moderator can delete comments, create ads and view insights. Advertiser can add ads and can view the page’s insights. While, the Insights analyst can only see the insights of the particular page.

[adsense]

Hope you got a hang of what each role did, now let us see how to change the admin roles.

Changing Admin Roles in Facebook Pages

Login to your Facebook Account

Go to your Page, and switch to use Facebook as the page.

Click on Edit Page -> Admin Roles at the top.

Once you click on it, you’ll be taken to a page where all the admins of the page will be listed.

You can change the roles by clicking on the drop down below each user.

Once you’re done changing, click on the Save Changes button to finish it.

That’s it, you’re done changing the admin roles. If you didn’t understand it, take a look at the screencast below to get it right.

Google Maps is a pretty cool maps application from Google. Google Maps features the entire world map in both normal map view and satellite view. Yet another cool feature in Google Maps is the Google Street View. Popular countries like Japan, U.K., U.S.A. and a lot more countries can be viewed right at the street level. It seems like viewing a country right from your computer.

[googleads]

While Google Maps offers a lot of features like finding places, getting directions between two places and a lot more, one of my favorites is the option to share a place that we are seeing right now on Google Maps with our friends.

Google Maps allows you to share a place by two methods. One : Getting the URL and sharing it with our friends. Two : Getting the embed code and embedding the map on our blogs and forums.

#Step 1 : Finding your favorite place on Google Maps

For an instance, let us take Maruetsu, a normal shopping complex near my house in Japan. Here it is. I have used the embed code to display the shop right here in this blog post. Once you have found the place that you want to share with your friends on Google Maps or Google Street View, head to the next step.

#Step 2 : Getting the URL or embed code

On the “Panel” on the left side of the map, you can find a button “Link”. Clicking on it will give you access to the URL and the embed code. If you feel like the URL being lengthy, you can shorten it by using the “Short URL” option.

And now, give the URL to your friends and once they type it in their favorite web browser, the place that you are viewing right now will be on their screen. Also, you can mail the URL code to their email by using the “Send” button available to the right of “Short URL” button.

If you’ve been using Linux, you would know how greatly flexible it is. You can add or remove any part of the OS, if you know how to do it. It is also the best learning place for Computer Engineers, because studying Linux and it’s functions will help you understand how the computer works. Though building Linux from scratch is a difficult task and it is a mammoth task to be taken only by geeks. But what if you want to build your own customized linux distribution but you are no geek ?

We have an answer for you. There are a few tools available, that’ll help you to build your own customized linux distribution through a graphical user interface and sans coding. Excited ? Read below.

Build Your Own Customized Linux Distribution

As stated above, we’ve two tools that’ll help you do it.

The More Powerful SUSE Studio, which lets you customize almost anything on a base version of OpenSUSE.

The second one is the newer, Ubuntu Builder, which will help you customize an Ubuntu distribution. It is not as robust as the SUSE studio, but will be useful if you’ve used Ubuntu before.

SUSE Studio

You’ve to create an account with SUSE Studio before you use it. Just head over to SUSE studio and click on the sign in or create an account button to create an account. You can use Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter or any other OpenID provider or create a new Novell account.

After creating an account and logging in, you’ll be asked to choose a base template. You’ll have different options like GNOME, KDE or even JeOS over the latest version of OpenSUSE and SUSE linux Enterprise. Choose the one you want. GNOME, KDEetcetera are user interfaces. If you are not sure about them, then Google it before using it.

If you scroll down, you’ll be asked to choose your Architecture where you’ll have to choose if you want to build a 32-bit or 64-bit version of your OS. You’ll also be asked to choose a name for your new OS, the name can be changed later, so don’t worry about it. Now click Create Applianceonce done. SUSE studio calls each bootable system you create, an “appliance” throughout the process.

The real fun begins now, All that goes into your OS, can be chosen right from here. Click on the Software tab to see what you’ve already added, this is based on what you chose in the previous step, these are the files required for the boot up. Now you’ve options to search for and add applications that you want in your own distribution. You can search for it or simply browse through the software collection that is neatly organised into categories. If you want to add Mozilla Firefox or any similar program, just search for it in the search bar and you’ll see the results, instantly below. You can click on the +add button and the software along with the other required stuff will be added to your distro.
But, What if you don’t see something that you know runs on Linux—like, say, Google Chrome? Find an RPM-formatted package and add in a repository URL that carries regular updates. A decent Google search for the keyword “Name of your program and OpenSUSE” should get you the thing. Hit the “Upload RPMs…” link near the top of the Software page, and you’ll be able to upload it from your computer, or through an URL to the resource online. What’s really neat is, once you upload your RPM files, you’ll have a special repository created for you that can be loaded into any system you build with SUSE Studio.

After adding all the softwares of your choice, head over to the Configuration tab to change the look and feel of your new Distro. You’ll have to start with Generaltab. Here you’ll find options to Language, time zone, network, firewall and users & groups settings. It is quite simple and self explanatory.
Next stop is at the Personalizetab. This one will help you make your Linux distribution, more yours. You’ll have options to change the Logo and background wherever it’ll be used like the boot selection and login pages. Then at the Startup tab, you can choose to display an EULA and what type of login you want for your users. The server tab helps you setup PostgreSQL and MySQL, but we don’t think we would be needing them for now. In the Desktop tab you can choose to login a user automatically for faster startup times, you can also choose what programs will run during startup. The Appliance tab lets those planning to install to a disk or USB drive, or run in a virtual machine, fine-tune their memory and disk use settings. and get into the Scripts and Files tab only if you have a good knowledge about Linux.

Go to the Buildtab let’s you pick the format you would like to download, whether an ISO or a disk image or a ready-made virtual machine file for VirtualBox or VMWare. Choose your format, set a version number for your distro, and that build will always be available for downloading or cloning it later for another new distro.

If you are not so sure about what to do with the files you just received ? Here’s SUSE Studio’s guide to using SUSE Studio appliances. If you want to try out your custom Distro before installing it on your system, SUSE Studio lets you run your custom-built appliances on their own virtualization servers, for up to one hour, for free. Hit the “testdrive” link on one of your builds, and wait for it to boot up.

Hope that guide helped you to build your own customized linux distribution. Now, let’s take a look at the Ubuntu Builder.

Ubuntu Builder

Ubuntu is the most used distribution of Linux as of now. But, more people are shifting to mint, since when Ubuntu started using the Unity interface. If you like Ubuntu, but want to change the look and feel of it and the default apps that it come with, then Ubuntu Builder can help you with that.

Ubuntu Builder is a very simple to use software. Launch it up in any version of Linux and give it an Ubuntu ISO to tweak. You can choose from a number of alternative desktop environments, like GNOME, LXDE, KDE etcetera, as well as add your favourite applications to be installed along with the OS. You can also add other sources to synaptic, give your distribution a name, and more.

When you’re done, just build the ISO and you can install your custom version of Ubuntu on any computer. It isn’t quite as powerful as the SUSE Studio, but it’s best suited for Ubuntu fans who want something a bit more tweaked to their liking.

Hope this guide helped you to build your own customized linux distribution. If you’ve any doubts in the process, do drop a comment and we’ll help you out. If you liked the article, don’t forget to share it with your friends !

Pen drives and external hard disk drives are the thing of the past now. Sharing stuff over the cloud services is the latest trend. There are lots of cloud storage services out there and Dropbox seems the best in the niche. Google Drive and SkyDrive are some of the fierce competitors to Dropbox. There are other services too like Box, iCloud and a lot more.

One of the peculiar things of Dropbox is the shared folder concept. On Dropbox, you can easily create a folder and invite your friends to join it and thus make it a shared folder. A file stored in the shared folder gets synced between your computer and your friends’ computers easily. Thus sharing stuff between people becomes a lot more easier.

[googleads]

And getting on to the topic, Dropbox has recently announced a brand new concept of sharing folders with your Facebook friends. Now, lets see how that works.

Inviting Facebook Friends to a Dropbox Folder

Log into your Dropbox account.

Head to Account Settings and link your Facebook account.

Come back to Dropbox home.

Right click the folder that you want to share and click “Invite to Folder“.

In the “Invite collaborators to this folder” section, type the name of your Facebook friend and Dropbox will populate his Facebook ID. Click on it.

Finally add a personal message below in the available box.

Click on “Share Folder“.

Wait till your friend joins!

That’s it. The shared folder is now created. Once your Facebook friend joins the folder, you guys can easily drop in files in that folder to share stuff. If you aren’t on Dropbox yet, join Dropbox with this link and we both get 500MB for free!

What do you think about this new Dropbox feature? A lovely one, agree? If you find any troubles while inviting your Facebook friend, feel free to drop in a comment or contact with us personally over here.

Please take your time to read through it, than just skimming, because this will pay you for sure.

How To Build Your Own Money Making Blog

Find a domain name for your blog. This is the primitive step that you will have to take while building your blog. Search a domain name for your blog and choose the most appropriate one. It is best to choose a domain name which has some related keywords of your blog. You can also look for a package of domain name and web hosting. Register your domain and choose the number of years. It is very compulsory to register your domain name as this is the assurance that the name you have registered is yours.

Once the registration process is over and you have opened a blog account, you have to install WordPress or any other blogging platform. We prefer WordPress. This you can do it yourself either looking at a demo or get some help from your web hosting company. Make sure that you get the login details from your host company.

There is lot of excitement when you first create a blog. So you can login now, make the required changes and experiment with the various types of plug-ins provided in your wordpress and above all publish your first post in your blog. There are several blogging platforms of which few are paid and few are for free. There are plenty of sources that are available online that you can refer if you are stuck somewhere in the process of creating your own blog and choosing a blogging platform. It is better to get a customizable theme at the initial point itself as this would allow managing your blog ads and blog post.

Now comes the real point of money making from your blog. CPC and CPM ad programs on your blog allow you to earn good income. They place ads next to the article that are relevant to the article. In CPC ad network you are paid according to the click ratio whereas in CPM you are paid based on the impression.

Affiliate selling is definitely a good option, which you can add to your money making blog. Many people are earning good amount of dollars through affiliate selling. There are hundreds of options that are available online. There are immense tools and resources which can help you to simplify your task and help you in getting paid from your money making blog.

You can provide some space for placing ads of several companies. Thus your website acts like billboards to place these ads. In this way too there are several people making few dollars through their blog. it is the most simple and easy way to earn some money.

[adsense]

The real secret in terms of building your own money making blog is right here. What is it? Just by creating a blog one does not get income. There is a lot more hard work involved in it. Now, at this stage you have to start writing articles on some topic that would interest the readers and post it in your blog. Besides this, Guest Posting also simplifies your task to a greater extent. You can also use your articles for guest posting in some other blogs. This is a great way of driving traffic to your website.

There are blog community sites where you can sign up and attract some visitors in this way too. Networking always work wonders. Then, you can submit some of the good articles that you have written to blog carnivals. If the title and the topic of the articles are interesting then you would undeniably get immense traffic.

Submit the blog link to several directories. They contribute to a larger extent in bringing untapped traffic. Article submission should be done in which you submit articles along with your blog link in several article submission sites. You can also link to other blogs directly. Search engines send good traffic, so make certain that you create a search engine friendly blog.

There are several steps of search engine optimization which has to be essentially focused while building your blog. See to that your blog is search engine friendly. They include Blog commenting, Forum posting, and many more. Social bookmarking and social networking is also a great way to drive traffic. Social networking is just not about connecting to people but, it can be used for connecting them to your business and work.

Though it all seems to be simple, you need lot of hard work which has to be done with dedication and devote lot of time while building your blog. Whether you create a new discussion thread or comment on other blog post it is important to be honest in whatever you do. Work every day on your blog for a stipulated time frame. Learn how to go about and most importantly learn where to stop. Don’t waste your time doing lot of things. Do what is required. Learn about the various tools and uses of each tool. Select appropriate tools that would be useful to you. Initially the growth may seem to be very less but down the line when the traffic to your blog increases then you can see good results for yourself. Therefore build a great blog with all these check points and make your work simpler while earning more and growing more each day!

Rage comics and troll faces are all over the web right now. All those old witty jokes are now re-written in the troll language. What is so awesome is that, now you can add Rage faces on Facebook chat. We’ve seen before about how to add profile pictures of people and pages in Facebook chat.

We’ve been getting mails about adding rage faces on Facebook chat. So, we’ve compiled a list to let you know this.

We’ve listed the id’s of pages with Rage faces as profile pictures. So, you can use those to show rage faces on Facebook chat.

[adsense]

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME: [[Are-you-fucking-kidding-me]]
Cereal Guy: [[cereal-guy]]
Challenge accepted: [[100002727365206]]
Derpina: [[Derpina]]
Feel like a sir: [[Feel-like-a-sir]]
Forever Alone: [[Forever-Alone]]
LOL Face: [[LOL]]
Me Gusta: [[me-gusta-meme]]
Mother of God: [[Madredediosoficial]]
NO Guy: [[NO-MEME]]
Not Bad: [[NotBaad]]
Okay face: [[100002752520227]]
Poker face: [[Poker-Face]]
Rage face: [[FUUUOFFICIAL]]
Socially awkward penguin: [[Socially-Awkward-Penguin]]
Troll face: [[Trooolll.Face]]
Yao Ming: [[Yao-Ming-face]]

All of you’ve to do is, copy the id corresponding to that of the rage comic face that you are in need of, and paste it in your Facebook chat. You can bookmark this page for quick reference, else save this picture to your computer.

The Rage emoticons are not big enough to be used often. But a few of them, like the troll face are big enough to convey the meaning. If you want to create your own meme faces, just create a page or profile with the corresponding rage face as the profile picture and use the user/page id of the page as above.

It is advised that you use a page for this purpose, bacause if you use profile, it is likely to be deleted by Facebook in the future. If you’ve already created something like this, let us know and we’ll add it to this list.

We will update this list later with future additions. Stay tuned.

Did you like this list ? Do you want a particular rage face to be added to this list ? Let us know through the comments and we’ll add them for you !

Is Google Street View Available for All Countries?

Accessing Google Street View

Head to Google Maps and navigate to your favorite country.

Search or zoom in to your favorite major city or place in that country.

And now, click and drag the yellow man icon found above the zooming controls on the left side.

If Street View is available, blue colored lines can be seen and placing the icon anywhere on that blue colored line will give you access to the Street View at that place.

If Street View is not available, blue dots can be seen on the map and placing the icon on those dots will show you images collection of that place.
