You can print the Facebook business cards for free, but you should pay for shipping.

Shipping ain’t that costly when compared to the quality of the cards they make. I got one set of cards recently and the quality was really nice. Shipping costed me USD 4.5, but might change with your location.

If you are interested in getting it, head on to Moo’s website, after signing up when you begin to design your card, you’ll be asked to authorize the moo app for Facebook, so that it can collect your Facebook information like, Cover photos, Profile Photos and your contact information, which’ll be used in your Business card.

When you checkout, you could see that you pay only for the shipping. The offer is only for a limited time and the offer end date is not mentioned. So, if you are planning to get one, do it as soon as you can, because the offer has been around for some time now.

Moo offers a special feature called printfinity, that allows you to choose a particular design for each card that you print. There is no extra fee for this feature. The design interface is very user friendly, so you can design your card with no pain.

It was yesterday when I came across an ultra cool feature in the Facebook version of the Angry Birds game, which will let you embed a small, playable version of any Angry Birds level in anyone’s Facebook Timeline, websites, blogs or forums, just like embedding a YouTube video. This new feature is called the “Share & Play” and it seems to be brought by Rovio to maximize the usage of Angry Birds application across the web.

[googleads]

On Your Facebook Timeline

When you finish a level in the Facebook Angry Birds game, there pops a box showing the number of stars that you collected. Alongside lies two buttons, one named “Share” and the other named “Embed”. Clicking on the “Share” button will let you to embed that particular, playable level on your Facebook Timeline, and your friends will be able to play that level right in a small version.

On Websites/Blogs/Forums

Secondly, you can use the “Embed” button to get the code, that can be pasted in website or blog that you own, and your visitors will be able to play that level right on your site. But the thing is that, the game runs on flash and it is necessary that flash is enabled for the game to be played. Try playing a level, live, right here!

Additionally, you can use the handy URL and paste in other friends’ “Walls” on Facebook too. That will give the user and his/her friends to try out that mini-Angry Birds game.

Limitations In This Feature

Though the feature seems to be ultra cool to all, there are a few limitations in this. Firstly, you won’t be able to use the “Power Ups” like Super Seeds, Bird Quakes, King Slings etc. If you want to use those tools, Rovio gives you an option, but that will take you to the Facebook Angry Birds application and you ought to play the game there. The same goes to the full screen version of the game.

If you try to increase the size of the gameplay manually, the game doesn’t. Instead an additional coating of white space appears around the game and the game remains in the same size.

What Do You Say?

So, any words that you would like to add? Do you think that this mini-playable Angry Birds feature will rock the Rovio neighborhood? Do you think this is a good step from Rovio? And also, do you think this one is way better than the alternative option to play Angry Birds on any site?

Smileys have always proved to be really rocking in the WWW world we live. When one wants to express one’s feelings, the smileys have always proved to be great friends and make things easier for the person to convey the message. As known to all, Facebook has got a huge collection of smileys that the users can use. Until now, the Facebook users are mostly prone to be using the smileys only in the chat. But, have you ever figured out an actual way to display those smileys in the wall posts, News Feed and in the comments?

When it comes to social marketing tools, Twitter is one of the best any business can adopt. The popular microblogging site has well over 200 million users and trendiness that has made it a favorite among users that range from everyday people to the high profile athletes and celebrities.

Not only that, it has long proved itself as a powerful platform capable of building communities, engaging target audiences, and driving qualified traffic. From a marketing perspective, the one knock on Twitter has always lied in the difficulty of tracking its activity, but even this appears to be changing for the better.

[adsense]

Twitter recently announced the debut of  Twitter Web Analytics. As the name implies, it is a new tool designed to help users gain a much better understanding of how their social marketing efforts are performing through connection with the platform. Up until recently, marketers have been forced to rely on third-party tools that while useful, were not very efficient in terms of accurately measuring traffic. With an analytics system launched by Twitter itself, it is safe to assume that this tool will be far more precise and reliable than many of the third-party options out there.

Analyzing Your Twitter Impact

According to Twitter itself, social marketers can take advantage of the new web analytics tool by analyzing three main performance area:

Inbound Traffic – See exactly how much traffic Twitter is generating to your website.

Social Sharing – See how much of your content others are sharing throughout the Twitter network.

Integration Effectiveness – Analyze the impact integrating the famous tweet button on your website has really made.

As you can see, the new Twitter Web Analytics can be helpful in measuring some very important areas, but the one that really sticks out is inbound traffic. Whether you are indulging in social marketing to boost sales or create awareness for a non profit cause, driving traffic is vital. With that said, being able to understand what is and what isn’t working is just as important. When your efforts are not resulting in direct sales or donations, it can be hard to justify carrying on with your social initiatives. Analytics allows you to do away with all the guessing and base your marketing on actual and factual data. With the tool being powered by social analytics platform BackType’s technology, which Twitter recently acquired, the company’s new and improved tracking capabilities may be the solution marketers have been eagerly awaiting for some time.

Be on the Lookout

Twitter Web Analytics has been rolled out to a small group of Twitter’s pilot partners. The company says that it will be available to all site owners in the coming weeks. Aside from being pretty useful, this tracking tool is completely free to use, and that makes it even more attractive for the social marketer operating on a restricted budget. If you have been looking for a better way to track your efforts on this immensely popular social network, the new analytics tool will definitely be one you want to pick up.

Like taking backups of your personal data in your local hard drives, it is highly important that you take a backup of your online presence too. In this social media age, where we share every teeny tiny information about ourselves with the web, like our photos,  events, statuses and a lot more online, we tend to depend totally on the web and forget to have an offline backup.

[adsense]

Anything might happen online and if you lose access to your social networking accounts, (read: got hacked) then you’ll be losing your data forever. It is better to be safe than sorry. So, let us see how you can take a backup of your social data.

How To Backup Facebook

With 800 Million and counting, Facebook is the de facto place for social networking. Facebook provides inbuilt options to take an offline backup of your data. We’ve already covered that in detail. This in-built tool offered by Facebook is straight forward. But it’ll require you to wait for some time before they process your archive. The backup is basically an HTML version of your account with your photos, statuses, wall posts, chats etc…

How To Backup Twitter

I am not sure how many of you know this, twitter doesn’t store all your tweets. Twitter stores only 3,200 of your most latest tweets. It automatically deletes the older ones and there is nothing you can do to stop this from inside twitter. But there are web apps that let you have a backup of your twitter tweets before they get deleted by twitter. If you are an avid tweeter and worried that your witty-cracks and your daily brawls would be deleted by twitter, then act fast.

  1. There are two services that let you backup your tweets. One is TweetBackup and the other is BackUpMyTweets.
  2. Let us see about TweetBackup, however, you are free to use any.
  3. Go to TweetBackup and click Sign up now using twitter.
  4. You need to click “Authorize app” before you can use TweetBackup.
  5. You’ll be redirected to the app, where you need to provide your email.
  6. It is obligatory that you follow TweetBackup in return for their free service and you can post an optional tweet in favour of them too.
  7. Click Sign up and then you’ll be asked to login using twitter.
  8. Once it is done, you’ll be taken to the TweetBackup control panel where you can backup and export your tweets.
  9. This nifty tool will surely help save those precious tweets.

For the Rest

Backupify lets you take a backup of your data in a host of social networks, from Facebook, Twitter to even Linkedin. It provides a free plan, in which you can backup upto 3 accounts with email as the only mode of backup. If you want to more, you have paid versions based on your requirements.

It is simple, go to Backupify, choose your plan, sign up and point the services you need to backup and voila ! You are done.

Hope these tools helped you save your precious online data. If you have any personal favourites and use further better tools for backing up your social data, do share with us through the comments. Backup and be safe.

According to the reports from TechCrunch, the social media giant Facebook is now considering the fact about bringing a “Hate“ button to the site that will allow the users to let their friends on Facebook to know of stuff that they don’t like or hate. In other words, dislike. While the “Like” button from Facebook has been doing a really great job of giving access to the users to express their emotions and also generate lots of revenue to Faceobook, Mark Zuckerberg and the crew doesn’t want to miss the uses of the other emotion button.

[googleads]

On the other hand, the news from TechCrunch was announced on April 1, which makes us wonder whether TechCrunch tried to pull a prank on us. But it doesn’t seem so. No news that is was a prank, yet. And also, the Facebook staff are not available to comment on this. So, it makes us wonder whether the news is true or not.

According to TechCrunch, Facebook’s recent S-1 filing reports that users are generating 2.7 billion likes and comments a day. If Facebook announces the “Hate” button, the values might actually become double. With the reason that people on internet hate more things than they like, the news is that the counts might be double. It is said that Mark is estimating a count of 2 billion hates on the first day.

And at last, there seems to be debate whether Facebook is to introduce a “Dislike” or “Hate” or any other similar button. Stay tuned with Axleration for news if any official reports turns up.

6 Tips to Increase Pinterest Followers

Posted April 2, 2012 By Arun Sathiya

As known to all, Pinterest was launched way back in the year 2010 by Ben Silberman and his fellow mates. Nearly two years later, in 2011, Pinterest witnessed one of the biggest developments. Since Facebook integrated the Pinterest application in the Timeline, the site Pinterest has witnessed a major growth. Millions and millions are flocking to the site daily to take a peek at see the latest shared ‘Pins’.

[googleads]

And while Pinterest is going viral these days, most of the business men out there have already taken the opportunity to take their brand to the top in the niche by getting the most out of Pinterest. And it was yesterday when we shared a few tips that will ensure that you earn the highest number of ‘Repins’ for the images you share on Pinterest. And now, as you read in this title, I’m here to suggest a few tips that will help you increase Pinterest followers.

[stextbox id="info"]#1 Maintain Pin Boards & Pin Regularly[/stextbox]

Pinterest is all about sharing images that you find awesome. Videos too. Like you tweet daily in your Twitter account or share funny stuff on Facebook, you ought to follow the same with Pinterest too. Pinterest is no site that you must avoid. To get boosted by Pinterest’s uses, you ought to maintain your a good list of Pin boards and Pin images to them regularly.

[stextbox id="info"]#2 Integrate With Other Social Media Accounts[/stextbox]

Did you ever know that you can link your Pinterest account to Facebook and Twitter too? Well, I said so earlier. Remember the integration with Timeline in Facebook? With that in hands, you can update your non-Pinterest friends too on Facebook and Twitter. And also, Gmail invite is possible. Invite your friends on Gmail to join you. When you Pin an image to your board, your friends will automatically be updated in their News Feed on Facebook or on their Timeline on Twitter and hence they would care to give your image a look. If you happen to be Pinning really lots of images and worthy ones, some of your friends might actually join Pinterest and care to hit the ‘Follow’ button in your profile.

[stextbox id="info"]#3 Use Hashtags & Captions[/stextbox]

That’s the same thing I mentioned in my other post highlighting 4 tips to get more number of ‘Repins’. Instead of using stupid description for the images you ‘Pin’, it would actually be a lot better when you try to add a relevant description to the image you ‘Pin’ and also, it would be really great if you use hashtags. When you ‘Pin’ an infographic ‘Facebook vs Twitter’, instead of naming it “Social Media comparison”, you could actually name it so “#Facebook vs #Twitter”.

[stextbox id="info"]#4 Follow Others and Repin Their Images[/stextbox]

With the quotation that ‘Sharing is Caring’, sharing the images Pinned by other Pinterest users would certainly boost your reputation on Pinterest. If you care to follow other people you like in your niche, and also ‘Repin’ their content, they would do the same for you. When people ‘Repin’ your images, you name is thrown far and wide, giving access to more people to follow you.

[stextbox id="info"]#5 Use Good Quality Images[/stextbox]

The fifth tip, use good quality images, the least known but the most useful. When it comes to sharing images online, it is a must that people share images that don’t blind the eyes. Instead of ‘Pinning’ some images that prove to be straining the eyes, try using some really HD images. That’s it.

[stextbox id="info"]#6 Promote Yourself on Your Blogs and Sites[/stextbox]

The final tip – something that deals with bloggers and website owners. If you have your own blog, you can promote your Pinterest account on it too by adding the “Follow me on Pinterest” button and also, add the “Pin It” button that will allow people to share your content on your blog and in turn drive traffic to your site and also, prove to be useful in increasing your followers’ count. Those button are available at Pinterest Goodies.

So, what do you think? Do you think, these tips proved to be useful to you? And also, make sure to share your strategy to increase your followers with us in the comments section. If you found this article helpful, make sure to follow me on Pinterest at Arun Sathiya on Pinterest.

4 Tips to Get More ‘Repins’ on Pinterest

Posted April 1, 2012 By Arun Sathiya

There are lots of buzz on the internet right now that Pinterest is growing way too fast these days. Yup, the social photo sharing site Pinterest seems to have got lots of attention right now. Launched way back in 2010 by Ben Silberman and his mates, Pinterest is now the fastest growing social bookmarking site. While other social bookmarking sites like Digg allow people to share links, Pinterest is quite different. It allows only photos to be shared. Videos too.

[googleads]

Most of the photo lovers and bloggers are on Pinterest already and they have taken their best opportunities to get the best out of Pinterest for their own benefit and for their business too. According to the reports, Pinterest has been noticed to be giving more referrals than Twitter! If it makes you wonder how Pinterest can help promote your blog, here is the answer.

When you as a blogger share a picture on Pinterest, the Pinterest algorithm automatically makes it possible to link to the post and thus drive traffic to your site. If you come across a pretty stunning image on a blog post, that is worth sharing, you can Pin it to your boards. When people take a look that, it might tempt them to click on the image and voila. The image takes them to the original blog post. Good to get massive traffic, right? Also, there is a feature called ‘Repin’ on Pinterest that will allow the users to share some creative and impressive images on Pinterest with their followers. ‘Repins’ are nothing other than ‘ReTweets’ on Twitter and ‘Share’ on Facebook. Now, the thing is that we must find a way to get more ‘Repins’, right? That’s where our article is headed to. Also check this post, highlighting 6 tips to increase followers on Pinterest.

[stextbox id="info"]#1 Integrate With Other Social Media Sites[/stextbox]

That’s right. If you got a Facebook and Twitter account for yourself, you can link them to your Pinterest account. Once linked, whenever you ‘Pin’ an image to your board, the algorithm will automatically post in Facebook that you ‘Pinned’ an image recently. Also, a tweet will be sent on Twitter. Once they are on, your mates on Facebook and Twitter also would like to take a look at the image and will be eager to share with their friends too. If they find it worth sharing, people will really hit the ‘Repin’ button available and share it with their fellow followers. Also, it is possible that people on Pinterest would also like to hit the Facebook ‘Like’ and Twitter ‘Tweet’ button available nearby.

[stextbox id="info"]#2 Share Creative Images[/stextbox]

Pinterest is all about sharing images. While there are lots of options to ‘Pin’ and share the images with people on Pinterest, I highly suggest you to bookmark the ‘Pin It’ button to your bookmarks section in your browser. Once done, you can easily share images that you find really interesting, on Pinterest. Instead of sharing the same images other use to, make sure to share something that really takes one by surprise. For example, if you happen to come across an image showing a dog and cat hugging or kissing, whatever, make sure to ‘Pin’ that to your favorite animals board.

While dog and cat happen to be the biggest enemies out there, sharing such an image will certainly take your followers by surprise and tempt them to share those images with their mates too.

[stextbox id="info"]#3 Use Hashtags and ‘Repin’ Others’ Content[/stextbox]

According to my observations, I have noticed that the usage of hastags in the description section of the images boosts the probability that the image gets ‘Repinned’ by other Pinterest users. When compared to those images without hashtags, those with hashtags have been shared more. Also, make sure to use hashtags only for good keywords and also, make sure to use a maximum of 2 to 3 hashtags. Don’t pump the full description with hashtags.

Did you ever know that Pinterest has a stunning 70% of the popularity as women? With that in mind, you can make use of the opportunity to share more images that make the women love. Photos with the hashtags ‘Marriages’, ‘Love’ and ‘Sister’ have proved to be most shared in my Pinterest experience.

[stextbox id="info"]#4 Pin to the Relevant Board[/stextbox]

While ‘Pinning’ content, you ought to keep in mind to ‘Pin’ images to the relevant boards. If you are about to share an image related to blogging, make sure to ‘Pin’ that to your blogging board and not to some other boards like ‘Cooking’ or something silly. With each board having it’s own followers, it is better to share images with a particular niche rather than dumping all the images in one place.

That’s it. Hoping that you will find this article to be really useful and share with your friends too. Make the best use of these tips to get the highest numbers of ‘Repins’ and build a great circle of friends on Pinterest. Pinterest is one of the latest trends in the blogosphere. It is similar to a social bookmarking site. It can also be considered as a pin board styled photo sharing website where people can share or “Pin” photos which they find interesting.

Pinterest was launched in the summer of 2010 by Ben Silbermann, with few other tech geeks from California. In the summer of 2011 Times Magazine listed Pinterest in the list of their 50 best websites the developers came out of their small apartment in California and started operating the website from a different professional location. Ten million visits per week made Pinterest one of the top ten social networking websites. Now the company is valued at a massive $200 million USD.

[adsense]

Besides its cool design and photo sharing ability make it work as a way to promote small businesses. Whenever you add your business in social networks it makes you think how it will gain the much needed attention.  By connecting people with similar social interest throughout the world, social medias have surpasses the geographical boundaries and made it easier for small business owners to advertise their product to different people from different countries with similar interest. Make Pinterest your advertising partner as it is viewed by millions of people across the world. But before accepting Pinterest as your advertising partner you should develop a plan and ask yourself why will you launch your business in Pinterest platform? The successful businessmen who are connected with Pinterest have some common features like, their business is genuine. They are smart and they know how to get most from the website. Also, before getting your brand on Pinterest, you might like to take a look at this infographic, giving you an idea whether your brand should be on Pinterest or not. But, no matter what the infographic says, I continue with the title’s speech.

Never forget the old saying “Look before you leap”. So before promoting your business at Pinterest plan your strategy. Plan how you will approach customers, how you’re going to inspire them to use your product. Strategic planning and inspiring is what Pinterest is all about. There is no profit in Pinning up items which are not relevant to your product and which do not engage people. Always remember Pinterest is not a website to sell your product i.e. customers cannot directly buy your product or service; here you can only motivate and inspire them to use your product. Understand the principals and interests of your business for stepping ahead of your counterparts. Suppose you are selling some sorts of biodegradable cleaning product then it is recommended not to Pin up in Pin board. Inspiring and motivating ideas like wildlife photography, afforestation, social service etc. are recommended for pinning up in pin board. Your Pinterest profile can include news, images, buzz or bizarre and videos. It can also include visually intriguing products from other companies. People will try to know about you and the services and products you offer if you can inspire them by sharing your interests. On Pinterest you may not directly promote your business but you can share your interest and let others share your interest and values. This will be lot more beneficial for your business.  Your activity on Pinterest will make you visible which in turn will popularize your interest or your service.

Always keep updated about the interests of other business personnel. Learn from their successes and strategies. Also keep in mind the TOS of Pinterest. There are some guidelines which you will have to follow to succeed on Pinterest. If you can handle the rules and regulations well then you will find Pinterest as one of the best ways to promote business online.
