Google Unveils Free Voice Calls From Google+ Hangouts

Google is now offering free voice calls to US and Canada. You can now avail free voice to US and Canada from Google+ hangouts. This new introduction gives a good reason for more people to join Google+ and also takes Google a step ahead in the telecommunications world.

It makes it easier for people to have their conversations with people who don’t own a Google+ account and a computer. This new introduction was announced yesterday by Google’s Jarkko Oikarinen in his status in Google+

It says “We are constantly listening to feedback so that we can make Hangouts even better for Google+ users, and we’re excited by the really cool ways people are using the product. Today we’re making it possible to make phone calls from inside a hangout, so you can dial people into the room from wherever they’re at. (Helpful for party lines and conference calls alike.)

If you are not sure what I am talking about, the Google+ hangouts feature allows a multi-video chat call. This multi-video chat makes it easier for a lot of people to do a video conference call at once.

Instead of enabling this new feature in the homepage, Google makes it available only in the Google+ hangouts with extras page. To make a call to US or Canada, go to Hangouts with extras and start an hangout. Now, in the Invite button available at the top, you will find a Phone tab. Click on it and there it is. Dial a number to make free calls to US and Canada.
