New Android Phone From MicroMax

MicroMax is the leading domestic mobile phone manufacturer in India and third in terms of overall sales. Micromax aims at budget mobiles and bringing in latest technologies at a lower price for the welfare of the Indian Consumer market.

Micromax is highly successful in its goal and as a part of it, Micromax is introducing a first Android Smart Phone from its side and as usual it is low in price but is beefed up with features. The Micromax A60 comes out with solid rock features.

We previously saw the cheapest Android phone, but A60 is cheaper than Samsung Galaxy 5.

The Design of this phone is something new, the sleek and neat design would attract many. It is a new try. But  using widgets and apps in a small screen of 2.8 inch would be not an awesome experience but would satisfy any first time smart phone buyer.

It comes with all standard features of a smartphone like a GPS connection, Camera and Wi-Fi. The 3.2MP camera with auto focus won’t do brilliant photography but will do its job quite neatly.  Then phone weighs at 105 grams and its small and thinner appearances would attract women and teens.

The main Disadvantage is this phone comes with Android 2.1(Eclair), so you won’t be able to install apps in the memory card, you have to resort only to the 150MB of internal memory. If it had come with Froyo it would have been a better phone.

This phone is priced at Rs.7999 but you can bargain on it. This price may reduce in the future. This is the Cheapest Android Phone present in the market now.

Anyways this phone is targeted at the first time smart phone buyers and it is most suited for them. If you are planning to harvest much from your Android phone stay away, the 600MHz Processor would kill you. Anyhow I hope this phone would be a hit among the youths of India.
