Opera Mini 6.5 Now Available For iOS and BlackBerry

It’s now time for iOS and BlackBerry users to have fun with Opera Mini 6.5 with advanced features and having the bugs cleared. Opera recently released Opera Mini 6.5 for Android and now it rolled out this new version to iOS and BlackBerry. As of now, Opera Mini 6.5 is available for all the platforms : iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Java phones and Symbian.

The features are pretty much the same as in Opera Mini for Android. This new version of Opera Mini boasts of some pretty cool features. It now comes with compression technology enabled which means the web page gets compressed and loads faster, giving you a quick glance at the page. Added with this new technology comes another cool introduction. A data stats counter has been introduced which shows the amount of data downloaded and saved. This counter will help you to maintain your data downloads cost.

There are a lot of ways to save money on your mobile phone bill and avoid getting hit with nasty overage charges on your cell phone bill, and the new data counter in Opera Mini and Opera Mobile is one of those tools.” says Phillip Gronvold, Product Manager for mobile, Opera.

This data counter available in the “Help” menu shows record of both the total data download as well as temporary data download charges. If you want to keep track of data usage for a short period, it is now possible. The company claims that it saves up to 90% of data consumption.

Also comes a easy bookmarking tool in this new version. A star available in the address bar will easily bookmark the pages. Opera also introduced the auto correct and searching right from address bar features in this new version of the browser.

If you want to download Opera Mini 6.5 for iOS devices, it is now available at Apple app store and for those Android users, it’s available at the Android market. As for Java phone users and BlackBerry users, you can download at m.opera.com
