Republic Day of India Gets Google Doodle’d

The present doodle in the Google India site marks the 63rd Republic Day of India. While Google has done numerous commendable jobs in designing doodles for Independence Day, this is the second Google has come up with a stylish looking doodle for Republic Day. Surprising, this day being celebrated as Republic Day only in India, the doodle is visible not only for the Indian Google visitors, that is, the doodle is available only in Google India but also in the Google U.S. version.

The doodle features three elephants adorned with finery while each elephants sports two children seated at the back. A tri-colored Indian umbrella is present at the back of each children, shielding them from the hot sun. While this awesome scene features the front section of the doodle, the company’s name Google highlights at the back. While the two G‘s are blue in color, the first O and the E are red in the color. On the other hand, the second O and the letter L are yellow and green in color, respectively. As you might have noticed, the elephants prove the country’s rich and healthy culture while the O‘s gleam like the Ashoka’s Chakra.

Unlike many other animated Google doodles out there, this one is stationary. Clicking on the doodle does not play any music or animate. Instead the doodle takes you to the search page with the query Republic Day of India. The search results highlight the popular and recent results for the search query.

The doodle depicts the children’s bravery and loyalty to the country. Google has been remarkably noted for it’s awesome designing of doodles marking the dates of anniversaries of important personalities and also highlights important occasions. As of today, the doodle in Google India highlights the day when the leaders formed the Constitution of India, under which the country runs right now.
