The tech world we live in, has recently gone abuzz with the release of the picture of Sony Ericsson ST25i. Although the new model hasn’t been officially introduced, this new image of the mobile has surprised a lots of Sony Ericsson fans out there. It was just a few days back when a leaked road map appeared on the wild, showing the list of upcoming Sony Ericsson mobiles phones. One among them was this Sony Ericsson ST25i.
Sony Ericsson ST25i, codenamed Kumquat is set to look similar to Sony Ericsson Xperia S, the latest handset unveiled at the CES 2012, while it features the transparent notifications strip at the bottom of the phone, that resembles Sony Ericsson LT22i Nyphon. The phone comes with a pretty useful 5MP camera, 3.5 inches FWVGA (480×854) resolution, Android Gingerbreak v.2.3.7. The mobile phone runs on a 1 GHz Dual Core processor. When the mobile phone unveils officially, all the specifications would be known.
Also, according to the latest reports, this upcoming model is named Xperia U and is set to come in the second quarter of the year 2012. Most probably, the mobile phone will hit the markets very soon, once Sony launches it in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Called by Xperia U, Sony Ericsson Xperia Kumquat, Sony Ericsson ST25i, the mobile phone’s naming tip is from Indonesian Postel Website, which resembles the Indonesian Telecom Regulatory Body.
Alongside, Sony is about to unveil other models like LT22i codenamed Nypon, LT26i codenamed Nozomi, LT28at/LT28i codenamed Aoba, MT27i codenamed Pepper and ST21i codenamed Tapioca at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. With most of the models being named, Xperia S Xperia U, is Sony Ericsson under the impression of codenaming them in alphabetical order or just for fun? Is something behind this naming scheme?
